I’ve been working with business owners for over two decades and I would say 80% of them price like this: they shop around, they find out what is the highest price competitors are charging, what is the lowest price and what is the average. And then they charge the average price (no matter what business model they running).
Or they charge slightly below the average price, thinking that when they pick up a bunch of customers then they’ll lift their price (which is the quickest way to piss off those customers, just so you know).
Or you charge what you think you’re worth and if your self-worth isn’t high (and ladies, I’m looking at you particularly when I say that) then you don’t charge enough.
