Uncensored Money: With Olivia Engel
Melissa Browne: Author, Advisor and Author of Unf*ck your Finances| 2/1/2019
In this episode of Uncensored Money I chat all things money with Olivia Engel - the Senior Managing Director or State Street Global Advisors and CIO (Chief Investment Officer) of Active Quantitative Equity (AQE). She has global oversight of the broader AQE research agenda, investment process, portfolio management and product innovation.
In 2016, Olivia was awarded the Blue Ribbon Award for the best Australian large cap strategy which was the first time a woman and a quant manager had ever won that award. Her company is also responsible for the Fearless Girl statue that faced down the bull in wall street in 2017.
We talk about music & mathematics, why we shouldn't write ourselves off when it comes to not being able to do things, whether women make great investors, whether she relies on emotion or analysis when choosing an investment, how you can become more educated about investing, women and finance and so much more.
