My Financial Adulting Story: Corinne's Story

May 17, 2022

On a Friday in early December 21, 15 extraordinary women showed up to tell their money stories about how their finances have been financially transformed as a result of completing the 8 week My Financial Adulting Plan.

Corinne is one of those incredible women.

I don't think we're telling our money stories, we're not celebrating our wins, talking about the things we're struggling with or sharing our hardships. Maybe it's because we're ashamed or fearful or that we think it's not polite.

Here, we want want to change that.

If you want to change your financial story like Corinne has, make sure you check out the 8 week My Financial Adulting Plan

Okay. Money has always been a bit scarce. I have to say, especially since I'm divorced and, uh, with the kids and I couldn't work full time. It was always a bit stressful. I was in, uh, abusive relationship. And he was very much controlling.

So it's much better now.

I need to be in charge and knowing what's coming and where it's going and everything.

I thought I was quite literate, but I found out I wasn't <laugh>. I mean, I know what's a budget. I know how to budget as a mother, you know. I didn't know where to go from there to, to expand if you want, to do a bit better, to do more. And I didn't know where to search, what to study, what to do about it.

Cause at the beginning of this year, I thought I need to do something with my life. I need to go next step. I need to study something, do something.

Okay. I'm in charge. That's the main thing. It's very important to me being in control of my money was exactly what I needed at the right time. It changed who, not who I am, but how I felt about myself. And it changed what I felt about money.

The more I learned, the more I realised how much I don't know <laugh> and I just did it. And that was the best money I invest ever. It was great. Yeah. Yeah. I can, I want to talk about that to everybody.

You can do it without stressing about it I think. It's like an experiment a bit. She just give us the amount of information that we need to start and to do it.

I know what I want to do and what to do with it and yeah, it's awesome. It's fantastic. It's great. You should do it. Like do it. It's it's awesome.
